The once-great racer, referred to as the Blower Bentley, even broke the lap document at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Now auction house RM Sotheby are promoting one of the rare automobiles at their British Classics Online auction on February 28.

Unfortunately, the listing is being bought part method by way of a restoration venture – with this specific iteration lacking its engine.

The vintage whip at present only has its entrance and rear axles in addition to a gearbox and a lot of the bodywork.

The abstract of the itemizing reads: "A rolling chassis challenge with right modifications for accepting a supercharged 4½-Litre engine.
