Flames and a wall of smoke are advancing towards highly-populated areas across Los Angeles as a third wildfire breaks out in the Sun Valley neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley. Some 30,000 residents in Pacific Palisades and surrounding areas are now under mandatory evacuation orders, amid warnings there is an immediate threat to their lives. Conditions are expected to further worsen overnight as people living in Pasadena fled their home because of a fire in nearby Altadena.
