Towering 'smokenado' rips through Alabama cornfield

A 'smokenado' was caught on video tearing through a cornfield as firefighters responded to a raging blaze in Alabama. Several fire units responded to the scene of a one-acre fire in Leighton shortly before 2pm on Saturday, according to Assistant Chief Jordan Davis of the Nitrate City Volunteer Fire Department. The department requested even more backup to help battle the blaze, which cut a blackened path and unleashed the massive column of circling smoke.
