Pat Sajak Wins His First Emmy in 26 Years for Hosting Final Season of Wheel of Fortune

Pat Sajak is being honored for his longtime hosting duties on Wheel of Fortune for the final time. Sajak, who began hosting Wheel of Fortune in 1981 and officially retired in June 2024, took home the award for outstanding host for a game show at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday, Sept. 7. The 77-year-old television personality was not in attendance to accept the honor, which also featured Celebrity Family Feud's Steve Harvey, Jeopardy's Ken Jennings, Password's Keke Palmer, and Weakest Link's Jane Lynch as nominees in the category.
