Lundquist, 83, has offered commentary for each Masters since 1983, apart from a quick two-year hiatus in 1997-98.
He's most notable for his calls, including Jack Nicklaus' "Sure sir!" birdie in 1986 and a number of other Tiger Woods moments.
To announce his retirement from the Masters, CBS referenced Lundquist's name on Nicklaus.

Immediately on social media, fan tributes started to pour in the replies.
