Alexei Navalny's wife has accused Russian authorities of hiding his remains from his family and legal professionals.

In a video posted on her newly-created X account, Yulia Navalny vowed to call those involved in her husband's death in the Siberian penal colony.

Saying it was a video she by no means needed to report, Yulia said her husband should have been the one addressing them.

'Three days in the past, Vladimir Putin killed my husband Alexei Navalny,' she stated.

'Putin killed the daddy of my youngsters. Putin took away probably the most valuable thing I had – my most pricey and probably the most beloved man.

'But Putin also took Navalny away from you, somewhere in a [penal] colony within the Far North, past the Arctic Circle, in eternal winter.

'Putin didn't just kill a person referred to as Alexei Navalny. Together with him, Putin needed to kill our hopes, our freedom, our future. To destroy and nullify it.'

The economist, 47, stated she knows 'exactly why Putin killed Alexei' and that his supporters will reveal why – and how – the Kremlin did so quickly.

'We'll identify names and show faces,' Yulia stated.

She accused prison authorities of 'torturing' the anti-corruption activist whereas he was locked up on the IK-Three penal colony in Kharp within the Yamal-Nenets region.

'But he not solely didn't surrender, he all the time supported us, inspired us, laughed, joked, and impressed,' Yulia continued.

'He never doubted for a fraction of a second what he was preventing for and why he was suffering. My husband couldn't be damaged, and that's exactly why Putin killed him.

'Shamefully, cowardly, with out ever daring to look him within the eye or even say his identify.'

Yulia alleged that the authorities are delaying the post-mortem to permit a Soviet-era nerve agent from the highly effective Novichok family of poisons to 'disappear' from his physique.

It's a substance Navalny is aware of all too properly. He was poisoned in 2020, turning into violently sick, falling into a coma and requiring remedy in Germany.

Navalny, the long-defiant opposition chief who braved years behind bars, a poison attack and a belligerent state press that made him public enemy primary, was found lifeless in one among Putin's prisons on Friday.

He had died, in response to officers from the penal colony 40 miles north of the Arctic Circle, of 'sudden dying syndrome'.

Navalny was serving a pile of prison sentences for so-called 'extremism' and fraud.

Jail authorities say Navalny's explanation for demise has but to be determined – though campaigners say the post-mortem result is one not to be trusted.

Solely after the post-mortem is carried out can Navalny's relations retrieve his physique.

Yulia's feedback come after his spokesperson stated his mom and legal professionals weren't allowed to see his physique at a morgue this morning.

Kira Yarmysh stated earlier as we speak: 'Alexei's mother and his legal professionals arrived on the morgue early in the morning. They weren't allowed to go in.

'One of many legal professionals was literally pushed out. When the employees was requested if Alexei's physique was there, they did not answer.'

For Yulia, persevering with her husband's work is one thing she will't do alone.

'We need to gather ourselves together in a single robust fist and strike at this mad regime,' she continued.

'At Putin, at his pals, on the thugs in uniform… and murderers who are ruining our nation.'
