Having no prior existence in the Daredevil worldin which blind Hell's Kitchen lawyer Matt Murdock moonlights as a masked vigilanteor the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe for that matter, the character was (and remains) a mystery, prompting widespread internet speculation.
